Moissanite is a lab-created silicon carbide gemstone, prized for its diamond-like appearance. First found in meteorites, it’s now synthetic, costing 10-20% of a diamond. With a Mohs hardness of 9.25, it’s highly durable, and its higher refractive index gives it a vibrant sparkle.

Setting Material

925 sterling silver consists of 92.5% pure silver, with the remaining 7.5% typically made up of copper or other alloys. This alloy blend is intentionally added to enhance the metal’s durability—pure silver (99.9% silver) is too soft for practical use in jewelry, as it bends or scratches easily, while the 92.5% silver content ensures the material retains silver’s natural luster and malleability, balanced with enough hardness to maintain shape and withstand daily wear.
